Welcome to 4th & College Church in Cordell, OK! We are a vibrant and welcoming community on a transformative journey deeply rooted in our desire to follow Jesus. For over a century, our church on the corner of 4th & College has stood as a beacon of hope. We want everyone to know that they can be part of the adopted family of Christ, that they have a role to play in the body of Christ, that we are all broken people on a journey to be mended by Christ, and finally that all followers of Jesus are commissioned to go to all the world and share the story of Jesus.
Josh Yaeger,
our Lead minister
He and his wife Jennifer started their ministry at 4th & College in 2004. In 2014, their family moved away but they couldn’t stay away. In 2020, Josh was called back to Cordell where he began leading the effort to replant the church at 4th & College.
Richard Beadle,
our Co-Minister
He and his wife Hannah arrived in Cordell in August of 2023. They moved here from the Caribbean, specifically, the island of Grenada. Richard heads up our youth and family ministry.
Who We Are Becoming
Many churches set attendance and budget goals. However, those things are not the main things we measure. Instead, we strive to become good soil where the message of Jesus can flourish and bear fruit. Next, we want to be led by the Spirit of Christ rather than our natural desires. Third, we want to be people who are daily using our gifts, abilities and passions in service to Jesus. And finally, we strive to be on mission wherever we are and wherever we go.
Our Strategy
We are inviting people on a journey that is communicated simply in four phrases. Come and see, stay and heal, pray and play, and grow and go. We hope that you first come and see what God is doing here by gathering with us to worship and experiencing our church family. Then we hope you’ll stay and heal by joining a group where you will build deeper relationships with others and begin to heal and transform as you read God’s Word and take care of one another. Third, we hope to see you pray and play which means that you will begin daily spiritual practices and begin contributing to the body of believers. Finally, we hope to see you grow and go which means that you will see yourself as sent daily to ministry in your various spheres of influence.
